Hong Kong West Kowloon Station

Hong Kong West Kowloon is the city's high-speed terminus and the gateway between Hong Kong and the mainland network. Trains reach Shenzhen in ~15 minutes, Guangzhou in under an hour, and run direct to Beijing, Shanghai, Changsha, Guilin and more. Crucially, mainland and Hong Kong immigration are co-located inside the station, so you clear both in one building.

This station serves the following high-speed lines:

• Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong HSR (to the national network)

Major destinations: Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Changsha, Guilin, Beijing, Shanghai.

Metro connections

• MTR Tuen Ma line (Austin) — Adjacent station — connects across Kowloon and the New Territories.
• MTR (Kowloon station) — ~10 min covered walk via Elements mall to Kowloon station for the Airport Express and Tung Chung line.

Airport transfer

Hong Kong Airport (HKG): ~25–35 min — walk to Kowloon station (~10 min) and take the Airport Express (~20 min), or a taxi (~35–45 min).

Boarding & gates

This is a cross-border station with co-location (一地两检). Going to the mainland you clear Hong Kong exit then mainland entry inside the station; arriving from the mainland you clear mainland exit then Hong Kong entry. Bring your passport and any Hong Kong entry documents, and arrive about 45 minutes before departure.
