Beijing South Railway Station

Beijing South (Beijingnan) is the capital's main high-speed hub and the northern terminus of the Beijing–Shanghai line. It also handles fast trains to Tianjin, Jinan and Qingdao. The station is large but well-signed in English, with the metro directly beneath the concourse.

• Beijing–Qingdao

Major destinations: Shanghai, Tianjin, Jinan, Qingdao, Nanjing.

Metro connections

• Line 4 — Direct under the station — fastest link to Xidan, Zhongguancun.
• Line 14 — Cross-town link to the east and south of the city.

Airport transfer

Beijing Capital (PEK): ~45–60 min by taxi, or metro Line 4 + Airport Express (~70 min). Daxing (PKX): ~50 min by taxi or the Daxing Airport Express.

Boarding & gates

Enter through security at the main entrance, then find your waiting area by the digital boards (gate = 检票口). Scan your passport or e-ticket at the automated gate about 15–20 minutes before departure, then go down to the platform. Arrive at least 30 minutes early.
