Chongqing North Railway Station

Chongqing North (Chongqingbei) is the city's main high-speed hub, in the Yubei district north of the centre. It anchors the Chengdu–Chongqing line and runs trains toward Guiyang, Xi'an, Zhangjiajie, Guangzhou and Shanghai. Note its split layout: a North Square (北广场) and South Square (南广场) sit either side of the tracks, so always check which square your train and metro use before you arrive.

• Lanzhou–Chongqing Railway

Metro connections

• Line 10 — Direct to Jiangbei Airport (T2/T3) and north of the city.
• Loop Line (环线) — Ring line linking Shapingba, the centre and other stations.
• Line 3 — North–south spine through the city, via the South Square.

Airport transfer

Chongqing Jiangbei International (CKG): Metro Line 10 runs direct between the airport and Chongqing North in about 40 minutes, or a taxi takes ~30–40 min (¥50–70).

Boarding & gates

First confirm whether your train leaves from the North Square (北广场) or South Square (南广场) — they are a long walk apart. Clear security, find your waiting hall and gate (检票口) on the boards, then scan your passport or e-ticket ~15 minutes before departure. Allow at least 30 minutes, more if you may have arrived at the wrong square.
